Sketching from television

For a bigger challenge, I’ve been trying to sketch from live TV. Here’s some pages from the first episode of “The Sing-Off”

Apparently that movie is full of eyes, and people looking worried. Hm.

I actually find that sketching from TV is a little easier than sketching from life sometimes. The benefit over sketching from photos is that people are alive and 3-dimensional, but unlike drawing people on the subway, I don’t have to worry about them getting angry (or asking to see the drawing, which is sometimes worse). There are also a lot of close-ups on faces which is always fun.
