“Women and Paper” at Boston City Hall

From City Hall: “This group exhibition features women artists that utilize paper in some way. The work is varied both in theme and technique and showcases the talents of 5 contemporary artists that live and work in Boston. The artists in this exhibition are June August, Emily Garfield, Joo Lee Kang, Lara Loutrel and Sarah Slavick.” Opening reception on March 8th from 4-5pm. I will have four large-scale 18″x24″ drawings (three are brand-new for the exhibition!) as well as several smaller drawings on display.

Map Teapot at Mobilia Gallery

Mobilia is currently showing their yearly exhibition “The Teapot Redefined” alongside their jewelry exhibition, and I just completed an intricate map teapot for it. The entire surface (including the spout, handle, base and even the removable top) is covered with a continuous map, like a globe, with the buildings highlighted in grey-blue watercolor. The exhibition will start to come down next week, so hurry if you want to see it!
